Create a key
Open API Keys. Name the key. Set an optional credit limit, expiry, and model allowlist. Copy the secret before closing the dialog. It is shown once.
Control access
- Pause a key to stop requests, then resume it when needed.
- Revoke a key to stop it permanently. Create a new key to replace it.
- Set a daily, weekly, or monthly UTC credit limit, or a lifetime limit. Expiry is fixed at creation.
All keys and browser Chat share account limits and credits.
Read key usage
Call GET /v1/key to read the presented key’s usage, remaining credit limit, permitted models, and store_content setting. New keys have content storage off; change it in Edit on the API Keys page.
